There is a first for everything. . .
Hello!
Yes, it is I, Coty, bringing you his very first blog. The wording in that previous sentence confused even me. I went from first person to third. I tend to do that. Yet, I remain undiagnosed for schizophrenia. I know, right?
Benjamin Franklin is one of my idols. Sure, he was a womanizer and slightly hypocritical, but he was a bloody genius! So, I will feature one of his many famous aphorisms premiered in his almanac, Poor Richard's Almanac.
- Benjamin Franklin
Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.
I love that aphorism. It truly speaks to me just how ridiculous gossip and such actions are. You know the instant you tell somebody a "secret" and have them swear not to tell, they're going to turn around and tell their most trusted friend with the same vow being made. Idiots.
Anyhow, there's a very. . melodious? That's a nice word to pull from my bag of vocabulary at 3:13 in the morning. Anyhow, there's a very melodious song by The Pierces entitled Secret that is semi-based off of this aphorism. It just knocks it down to "two can keep a secret if one of them is dead." Whatever, Benny should get the copyright money.
That's enough of Coty for one night, eh? Thanks for reading, and remember. . .
the best blogs are written when sleep deprived!
