When posting codes, please keep the following in mind:
- You are not allowed to link to active boards as a preview. Make a test board for this code or for all of your codes. Just don't make it an active community.
- Code previews are not necessary, but they're strongly recommended.
- Code should be wrapped in [code] tags. However, many code authors like to highlight the syntax so users can easily edit variables. If this is the case, you should wrap non-highlighted code in the [nocode] tag.
- DO NOT POST CODES YOU DID NOT WRITE. That's called ripping, and will rain down punishment upon your head.

- Make your code easy to read. Use decent indenting and don't cram all your code onto a single line. For some good guidelines on this, read the programming style article on Wikipedia.
- Codes must conform to our Terms of Service and Terms of Use. That specifically means no editing of the copyright or advertisements. codes breaking this rule will be removed, and the poster may be warned.
- For large codes, we recommend Self-Hosting to preserve wrapper space and improve maintainability.
- For simple modifications, we recommend you use jQuery wherever possible. If a modification only takes a single line, why not write a tutorial rather than posting a code with a copyright longer than the modification? Sounds like a good idea, right?

Skins
- Many people prefer to have a single preview board, then add skins to the skin selector. This is a great idea, however you needn't ask users to select the skin from the skin selector. Instead, obtain the Skin ID from your Admin Panel. (Click Edit Theme Settings. Take the number at the very end of the URL. That is your Skin ID.) To automatically have this skin set as the default when someone visits for a preview, adjust your link as follows, replacing the red ID with your Skin ID:

- Make sure CSS codes are wrapped in [code] tags
