It's mainly for other coders at the moment. This is my first ZetaBoards code! It's mainly for other coders at the moment. This document contains two codes. There is a preview not much further down. 1. The first is a base system, called the Zeta CP, which allows coders to inject code into the Admin CP. The below code, the Code CP, uses this mechanism to integrate with the Zetaboard Admin CP. It is not limited to the Code CP however, and the Zeta CP is meant to make it easy for the average administrator to choose what javascript they want to inject in the Admin CP. 2. The second allows the average administrator to install, edit the settings of, and uninstall forum codes all through an interface, without having to touch any code or wrappers. This is called the Code CP. Each coding resource forum can have its very own Code CP and skin and label it how it likes. The code and documentation will be made available here. I am looking for coders who either want a Code CP for their codes, or would like to allow me to distribute their codes in a Code Index CP. Look further down for instructions on how to use the Code CP for yourself. PM me for allowing me to distribute your codes. Starting with one. Basically I used pop-up's to inject javascript into the Admin CP. It's mainly for other coders at the moment. Here's the basic code for it: Spoiler: click to toggle ! I've built a more complex version which allows administrators to select which code to integrate into the Admin CP. Instructions contained in the spoiler: Spoiler: click to toggle And now two
It's mainly for other coders at the moment. To try it out add the following code into the "Above the board" wrapper:
Then Add "(X CODE)" to the bottom of the Admin Announcements box in the Admin CP. Don't write below this. Refresh your forum page and login. Look in "Hi" and after installing the code, look at the bottom of your forum. The Code CP takes 15 seconds to load. Have fun! How to use the code CP code This will tell you all about how to use the Code CP code so you can have your own Code CP devoted to your codes. Have a play with the preview before trying this. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you get stuck. Spoiler: click to toggle

Looks good, I'll try it out now. I just finished getting an iframe to work with the ACP XD . BTW, how much do you know about RegExp? |

A little bit. I detest RegExp and gave up after I couldn't get it to work. I resorted to using split instead, but RegExp is better really. I tried out the iframe method by taking the content in the iframe and applying it to the document. But skinning problems followed and I decided using pop ups was easier (especially since pop up blockers don't block them when you click a button). Keep us posted about the iframe method if you wish.

I also resorted to using split, but I've been in the need of RegExp, so I learned what I could. |

Great job, Paper. It's exactly the revolution ZB coding needs. Warning to board owners -- do NOT install a code that says it changes the administrator CP unless it's either this one, by Paper or by someone you trust. It will be easy to start an entire ZB phishing scam if you don't watch out.

I was working on something similar, but it doesn't integrate with the Admin CP. Maybe I should finish it sometime after today.. gotta finish this agonizing Chemistry class first. Very nice code though somewhat of a first-step to ProfileX or whatever it was called ![]() -- To Viral: What exactly do you need to do with RegExp? I've gotten around my detesting of it somewhat; and I manage to get scripts that work. Edited by Chris, Aug 8 2008, 09:19 AM.
