Default Images; a question or 2

 I was playing around with images the other day for a theme I was working on, and found some pretty cool effects with the default forum images such as the forum markers and such. I was wondering if it is possible for us to modify and use the images for our use. I already know from past questions that the smileys can't be used, but does it apply to the other images too?

I did try searching but it seems to be offline and I can't use it on this board right now.

 Thanks for the answer! I thought no one would. I'm also assuming this is ok. I will continue unless the staff tells me otherwise.

Staff, if someone tells me otherwise I will immediately remove all of the images from the theme in question. Just an FYI, the link to said board is now in my profile field.
